UK Channel 4 with 3D week
Written by Jørn Are Hatlelid, Tuesday, 10 November 2009 21:05

Channel 4 in 3DThe UK based Channel 4 will from monday November 16th will have one week of 3D fun for the family.

With titles like "The Queen in 3D", "Derren Brown Presents the 3D Magic Spectacular", "Flesh for Frankenstein" "Friday the 13th Part III in 3d", The Greatest Ever 3D Moments" and "Hanna Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert", it is clear that we are talking old 3D classics, not any of the newest Pixar movies.

I am not impressed by the selection of movies, but this might be a soft warmup and Channel 4s way of taking their viewers temperature of 3D interest. When people are getting their hands on 3D TVs next year, I hope they do a followup with both better titles and ofcourse in proper 3D format.

Visit Cannel 4 at http://www.channel4.com/programmes/3d-week for more program info, and if you're lucky enough to live in the UK you can get free 3D glasses at any Sainsbury store. -Already available, and you can check out http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/instoreoffers/free_3d_glasses.htm for more information. These are Amber/Blue anaglyph glasses which means that you won't get the full color experience, but it will be something for anybody with any TV to enjoy.
