TweetScroller for Joomla! updated to version 1.3
Written by Jørn Are Hatlelid, Sunday, 21 June 2009 23:51

The TweetScroller module for Joomla! 1.5 is now updated to version 1.3.

This is the very same as seen on the top of this page, showing twitter feeds.

Thanks to Platzwart for German language pack.

As always, I'm delighted to get your feedback, and please email me your own language pack :)

You can get it here or navigate to the download section.

The module has now(already) been updated to v1.3, since mr Platzwart has been so kind to to a German translation.
For those of you already running 1.2 that are not in need of German language, there is no need to update.

Hi. Can I show maybe last 10 tweets instead of only one?
Very interested in this offer.

I mean last 10 tweets from multiple accounts. Not just one.

Hi Lalaloo,
Not with this module. I guess there are others that can do that. I don't intend to add this functionality.

Hello! I am excited about this module because I think it is the only one that allows search on hashtags/keywords without specifying a twitter user. However I cannot get it to work. If I turn on caching I get php errors. Without caching, it just displays nothing. Where can I look to help diagnose this? Perhaps it requires php5?

Hi,
I have not tested it with PHP4, but maybe someone else here has. Do you have the latest version? Also: have you specified a module position for it which is in your template? And what browser are you using?

I did give it a module position, yes, the module space shows up and shows the title, but with no tweets in it even though I know there are tweets with that hashtag.
php4 version: 4.4.9
Browser is firefox latest version.

This is the error when I turn on caching:

Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func- array]: First argumented is expected to be a valid callback, 'modtweetscroll erhelper::getTweets' was given in /home/rainbo12/public_html/rhi/libraries/joomla/cache/handler/callback.php on line 99
An error occurred

Oops, an error seems to have occurred.

A cache error occurred

Thank you, I'll have a deeper look into this issue.
In the meantime, can you try client-side loading? -You find an option for that under "advanced" settings in the module. I assume you are using server-side loading from the look of the error.
And btw; what joomla version are you using?

Sorry for the delay, I was on holidays. I am using Joomla 1.5.9. I actually did try all the options, client, server, caching, no caching (on both). Either it gives that error, or it does nothing at all (no content, no error). Thanks!

Holiday season here too. I have sent you an update for test on email. Let me know if it works out for you, and I'll post the new version on this site.

This Joomla module looks just what we have been looking for - will let you know how it works on our site http://www.simplytoday.com - once we have had it working for a couple of weeks.
Also we have just updated the joomla caption core code take a look we think it is pretty classy - http://www.simplytoday.com/categoryblog/joomla-updated- and-working-css -image-captions -and-text-capti ons.html
Thanks.

I also have the problem where the module shows no tweets found, though there are plenty. Like tuveez I get the header, and then just a few pixels of the rest of the module (I can select the no tweets found test that I can see the top of) The next module seems to overlay it!

Any ideas please

What version do you have and can you give me a link or a screenshot I can look at?
